AAU is covered with trees and plants throughout the campus, especially near the parking areas, meeting points, and around the buildings, providing a pleasant atmosphere and natural shade for the parking area. In addition to the above, AAU is implementing more projects that allow it to have more areas covered by trees and plants that allow it to have a better environment within the university, one of its most important projects is Green power, which consists of:

• In recent years, tree planting has become increasingly important because it combats the effects of global warming. AAU has launched numerous projects of this type and the most important is:

  • At AAU we have launched an important initiative to restore, protect and reforest the university area

  • At AAU, we have already launched, since 2021, a project with the University to plant 2000 trees within the scope of a series of activities related to reforestation activities on a smaller scale to allow academics, administrators and students to have better spaces.
